Laval Lam
Laval trained with the chartered accountants Arthur Young and has worked on oil tax matters for over 20 years. He joined CW Energy when it was set up in 1990 and has worked primarily on compliance matters for oil companies.
This often entails him extracting information from accounting records in order to prepare tax returns. In recent years he has also done a lot of work on reconciling income and expenditure amounts returned for UK petroleum revenue tax to the company’s accounting records, something that is a requirement for all companies with fields subject to PRT. He is therefore very experienced in interrogating oil company accounting systems and reconciling figures to previously prepared reports.
